Easter 2013

As always, we had a wonderful Easter holiday. When Sud woke up in the morning, he of course had no idea  that it was a special day and that there would be an Easter basket awaiting him.  We sat Sud next to it and, without much enthusiasm, he began rummaging through the goodies. I  guess I was a little more excited then he was.  Next year he'll understand :)

After giving each toy the once-over, he was done looking though his basket.  We weren't yet ready to give up, so out came the bubbles.  He loved them!  How could they just  disappear???

All in all, it was a fun morning and a great start to Easter.  Sud may have been a little grump, but  it wasn't anything that his baba couldn't fix :)

Later that afternoon, my parents hosted a wonderful Easter lunch with the family.  The meal was delicious and the company was delightful.  Little Sud had a wonderful time seeing his family, espcially his cousins Lindsey and Kendall.

The girls trying to get Sud to laugh for a picture :)

It worked!

That evening we went back home and showed Sud his Easter basket again.  Second time around, everything seemed much more interesting! (Especially the basket grass)

7 months old [VIDEOS]

Here are 2 recent videos we took of Sud playing.

Video #1:  Sud has both played with baby mirrors and has been held in front of our bathroom mirror since he was a couple weeks old. His reactions have been the same each time, a quick smile but nothing that holds his attention.  Today I put up a full length mirror at his level and his reaction was quite adorable. Enjoy....kiss, kiss...

7th Month Reflections...

This is what Sud is doing now...
  • Sud finally learned to roll from his back to his belly
  • Sud has his 2 bottom teeth poking through!
  • Sud can put his pacifier in by himself the right way
  • He LOVES solid foods.  He looks like a baby bird when he sees his food because he opens up his mouth and waits to be fed.
  • One of his favorite games is ball. He loves having different balls rolled or bounced to him.
  • Sud can sit unsupported.
  • Sud creeps around in circles on his belly effortlessly.

Time for 7th month pictures!

Sud loves rummaging through "treasure baskets" full of toys and household objects.

Always excited to find his binky. Can he dot it?

Almost, almost....

Done! Look at that proud face.

Having fun with Dad even while he's napping :)

Sud sleeps on his side now.

Guess who he sees?

Horchata Kitty!
She loves him now because he can't chase her yet.

Outside Play on a Beautiful Spring Day [VIDEO]

Sud LOVES to go outside and listen to every little sound and see every movement, whether it's the cats playing, garbage truck driving by, trees blowing in the breeze, kids riding their bikes, among many others sights and sounds. Up until now though, his favorite  thing to do was just sit outside and play with the grass.  Luckily, he hasn't eaten the grass, twigs, and dirt that he picks up, but instead studies it intently . Because today was a perfectly warm and beautiful day, I filled up a bowl of water to see if he would play in it.  He LOVED it! I look forward to my next trip at Target because I will definitely be buying a wadding pool. Enjoy...

A brief video of him playing with the water...

Now, the pictures...

Examining the tidbits he finds in the grass.

Already getting messy and dirty. I love it!

Sud splashed so much, his entire shirt was drenched and needed to come off.
