9th Month Reflections...

This is what Sud is doing now...
  • Sud turned 9 months on May 22, 2013
  • Sud ended the month weighing 21 lbs. 10 oz. (65 %ile) He is 30.8 inches tall (97%ile) and his head circumference is 47 cm (89%ile).  Overall, a very well proportioned baby I think :)
  • Sud began to crawl. See his first crawl below...

  • He began cruising (walking) along the couch
  • Sud's two top teeth are poking through!
  •  He has found his voice again and is "talking" up a storm!

Time for his 9th month pictures!

I saw this "sensory board" on the internet and thought it looked kinda cool.  Sud played with it a couple weeks and then didn't glance at it again! Fail!

Sud loves to shake the blanket in front of him and then have me  put it over his head.

A Wonderful Trip to the Bay

This last visit to the Bay was WAY over due.  We try to make it at least every 2 months, but the business of life somehow got in the way. That being said, even time & distance could not hinder the love and enjoyment we all felt while together again. The complete three generations of the Doss family together is a beautiful sight to behold. Sure it's fun to go out and do exciting things, but sometimes the best memories are had right at home. We spent a wonderful 2 1/2 days at both Mom & Dad's house and Chaya & Barry's house.  I am blessed to be part of this family and, moreover, be surrounded by the love we share for one another. It was a perfect Mother's Day weekend.

Friday Afternoon outside in Chaya & Barry's beautiful backyard.

Tha-Tha snuggling with Sud.

Aliyah couldn't even wait for him to get out of the crib before playing with him :)

Looks like they are having a blast playing with each other, but...
...they were really fighting over the toy. LOL! Boys will be boys.

Tha-Tha picking oranges for the family. Look at those muscles!

Mom made her famous upitu, a delicious South Indian Cream of Wheat based breakfast. One of my favorites and clearly the little ones too.

Sud loves his Auntie Chaya!

Love!

Love x 2

All smiles for Barry Uncle

It's a beautiful thing to see the close bond these cousins are developing at such a young age, especially with the distance between them!

Pig Day!

Once a semester, Torrance Family Fun Time has Pig Day. Pig Day is a sensory based play day where the babies play with food to stimulate their young senses:  touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing.  They had an option of playing with vanilla pudding, spaghetti,  rice, Cheerios, Jello, noodles and apple sauce.  It took most of the babies several minutes before digging in.

After 10 minutes, Sud had had enough of being messy, which wasn't very messy at all compared to some other babies!

After a little cleaning up, off to play he goes.
